Sofa pad executive furniture arm chair EA219 with leather
This is an Eames Aluminum Group Soft Pad Executive Desk Chair, Model EA219, initially designed by Charles and Ray Eames for Herman Miller in 1969. These examples date to circa 2010s. Their design features a lightweight polished aluminum frame, and the seats and backs are upholstered in a custom-ordered cognac leather. The seats have plush cushions that are 2 inches thick, and these examples sport a 5-star base on casters.
Both rich and voluptuous, the Eames Soft Pad Group offers a seating experience that adapts to the body of each sitter.
The seams on the cushions feature a double-needle top stitch—a technically difficult and time-consuming detail, but one that results in a durable, long-lasting product.
All chairs come with dual-purpose soft casters that are safe for use on both hard floors or carpeted surfaces.

It would not be entirely inaccurate to say that the Eames Office Chairs of Charles and Ray, on the most part, were unintended. The most famous of the Eames Office Chair designs, the Alu Group Ribbed and Soft Pad chairs started life as a household range for use both indoors and out.
